Welcome to the Motivated Homeschooler!

My interest in motivation has been lifelong. My doctoral research in psychology was on the impact of one’s readiness to change. My passion for the subject certainly isn’t all academic, however. In homeschooling for the past decade, I have relentlessly sought information about how to motivate my now six children to be all that God created them to be. Truth be told, I am just as eager to find ways to motivate their mother and instructor!

My vision is to share with you some of the things God has patiently taught me about motivating myself and others, but more importantly, I hope to hear what you’ve learned! Are you a seasoned homeschooler, just a particularly savvy one, or even a homeschooling author or speaker? I would love to have your comments or even better, to have you guest post. As a committed Christian, I will share writing on motivation that is consistent with the Bible’s teaching on the subject. Speaker

I do a limited number of speaking engagements each year because my family is my priority. And besides, my husband says ‘no’ to too many days managing all six kids on his own. My fees are flexible and donated to missions. I am comfortable speaking to a variety of audiences–both secular and interdenominational.
